DICK WHITTINGTON WITH A WESTERN THEME
DW was Back End Production's debut pantomime, staged
in the Hurlingham & Chelsea school during early December 1998. While
keeping to the basic story of Dick's quest to become Lord Mayor of London
(possibly more topical in 1999!), a Western 'Cowboys and Indians' approach
was taken to the plot, giving the audience such crazy characters as Trixibelle
Midnight, The Rhinestone Cowboy, Dirty Duke, Mama Walton and Sheriff Ten-Gallon.The
show provided fun for all the family, and proved that pantomime does have
a place in Fulham!
