Help for Heroes
Founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007, Help for Heroes is a charity aimed solely at supporting wounded servicemen and women injured in Afghanistan and Iraq. The charity’s ethos is simple: Help for Heroes cannot prevent soldiers from being injured but they can do all they can to help provide them with the best care and support once injured, rather than abandoning them in their greatest time of need. Help for Heroes has raised £70m since their launch in 2007 but, particularly in light of recent Government cutback announcements, Help for Heroes continues to need the public’s help. The Community Sports Foundation
The Community Sports Foundation (TCSF) believes in the power of sport to transform and improve lives and communities. TCSF promotes sport and encourages improved wellbeing and quality of life for individuals and communities by breaking down society barriers and working together to reduce levels of obesity, crime and anti-social behaviour. TCSF organises a wide variety of sporting activities and events, principally for children and young adults.
Through sporting programmes, TCSF hopes to promote the growth of positive characteristics among children including increased confidence, comradeship and discipline to help build safer, stronger and happier communities. Visit the website
